The brief

A small tea house shade-grows ceremonial matcha, sencha and gyokuro on four terraces above the Uji river and sells every tin direct. It needs a shop that explains why its tea costs what it does, and makes buying a tin quick.

Our approach

  1. 1Opened on the process, twenty days of shade and an hour of stone-milling, so the price makes sense before the shelf appears.
  2. 2Gave every product quick add to cart, with weight and style on the card, so repeat buyers can order in seconds.
  3. 3Closed on a seasonal newsletter tied to harvest dates and new lots, which brings customers back for each release.
